Hamilton Marketplace, Developers Diversified Realty, Hamilton, NJ

Bohler Engineering assisted in the redevelopment of a 270 acre former Agricultural and Orchard Tract into a major retail/office center anchored by multiple big box tenants and comprising 1,400,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and commercial space. In addition to site amenities, such as common areas for seating, water fountains and clock towers, the site also provides internal pedestrian access throughout the center. Earlier in the due diligence process, Bohler Engineering, in coordination with the Township, was intimately involved with the development of the design criteria and planned development overlay for the proposed development. Other services included general development plan approval, site design, agency permitting, expert testimony, building permit procurement, construction administration and observation, construction permitting and project closeout. Today the Hamilton Marketplace is one of the premier retail facilities in the state, drawing patrons from the Route 130 and I/95 corridors.

Morgantown Crossings, Berks County, PA

This 66 acre commercial development, located along Route 23 in Caernarvon Township, boasts a Wal-Mart Supercenter and Lowe’s as anchor stores and included approximately 391,000 square feet of retail shops. The development incorporated site and PA Route 23 frontage improvements that transformed the Route 23 (Main Street) corridor into a vibrant commercial district. Services also included the construction of parking areas, landscaping, stormwater management facilities, the installation of all utilities to support the development, and two additional site accesses to PA Route 23.

Philadelphia Premium Outlets, Chelsea Property Group, Montgomery County, PA

This project is located just off of Route 422 in Limerick Township, Montgomery County between Evergreen/ Township Line Road and Possum Hollow Road with direct access from the new Lightcap Road Extension. Phase 1 boasts nearly 472,000 square feet of retail space, and Phase 2 is adding an additional 133,000 square feet of retail space.

Concordville Town Centre, Brandolini Companies, Delaware County, PA

Route 1& 322- Development of a 75-acre site that includes 500,000 square feet of retail shops and services. Anchors in this center include: Target, Home Depot, Home Goods, and ACME. The project will also include a variety of restaurant, small shops, and bank uses.


Cocomar Plaza, Regency Centers, Coconut Creek, FL

This 45 acre 300,000 square foot retail shopping center is anchored by Lowe’s and includes Kohl’s and related support retail tenants.

Cooper Creek Towne Center, Wal-Mart Stores, Somerdale, NJ

Re-development of a 54 acre site that includes 370,000 square feet of retail shops and services designed as a “Main Street Lifestyle Center”. Anchors will include a Wal-Mart Supercenter, LA Fitness, a movie theater, and related support retail tenants.

Garfield Redevelopment, Vornado Realty Trust, City of Garfield, NJ

Vornado Realty Trust was awarded this re-development contract by the City of Garfield in 2005. Vornado’s objective, in conjunction with Bohler Engineering, was to create a viable retail shopping center while exceeding the redevelopment guidelines of the City of Garfield and the NJDEP Smart Growth Plan. This premier regional shopping center is anchored by Wal-Mart and Home Depot and will serve PetSmart, a restaurant, a bank and additional strip retail. Retained in 2007, Bohler prepared construction documents for the site improvements, off-site roadway improvements, and the retaining wall design which totaled more than 1,800 LF. Bohler was able to expedite and secure local, county and state permits, including a complex Stream Encroachment Permit and Treatment Works Approval which allowed demolition to commence on schedule.

Westfield Pavilion, National Realty & Development Corp., Westfield, MA

A 750,000 square foot retail development including a combination of large big box retailers, home improvement stores, junior anchors, small retail shops and pad sites with casual dining and fast food. The project includes an interchange expanse at a Mass Pike exit and a new bridge.

Worcester Crossing, Madison Properties, Worcester, MA

A 350,000 square feet retail development along the Blackstone River; the project in anchored by Wal-Mart along with other junior retailers and various pad sites for casual dining.

The Shops at Stonewall, Regency Centers, Gainesville, VA

This 36.9 acre commercial retail development is located south of Gainesville, on the northbound side of Lee Highway (Rt. 29). This site design includes approximately 310,000 SF of floor space and will be anchored by a Wegman’s Food Store. The remaining areas will be occupied by national junior anchors, small shops, and restaurant pads. The design of this facility also included zoning approvals in Prince William County, as well as the design of a vertical realignment for Rt. 29 northbound and a major intersection at Rt. 29 and Old Carolina Rd.

Riverton Commons, Edens and Avant, Front Royal, VA

This 65.18 acre commercial shopping center includes approximately 450,000 square feet of floor space for anchor stores including Wal-Mart and Lowes, restaurants, and retail chains, as well as access roads and parking.

Proposed Breslin Retail Center, Middle Island, NY

This proposed site is located on 74.1 acres, which includes a 24.9 acre park and a 49.2 acre retail center. The park will contain three baseball fields, a soccer/football field, dog run area and a snack bar/ concession area. The retail center will include seven separate retail buildings totaling 309,058 square feet. There will also be two restaurants, a bank and a fast food restaurant totaling 20,689 square feet on the site.

Wal-Mart Polytech Site, Route 110, Farmingdale, NY

This 25 acre former industrial site included a 157,000 square foot Wal-Mart Store, three freestanding pad buildings to accommodate Bank of America, Houlihan’s, Chili’s, and a fourth leased to Chipotle, Panera Bread, Sleepy’s and Game Stop.

West Sadsbury Commons, Wolfson- Verrichia Group, Chester County, PA

This 68 acre retail/commercial development at the intersection of Route 10 and Route 30 in West Sadsbury Township includes approximately 410,000 square feet of retail shops, anchored by Wal-Mart and Home Depot. The development improvements included roadway widening to Routes 10 and 30 as well as the extension of water main offsite for approximately one mile, a coordinated traffic signal system, AT&T fiber optic relocation, and various standard site amenities. Given the unique location of the site, the parking lot accommodated car and "horse and buggy" parking stalls.
